The Grand Summit Hotel consistently receives positive feedback for its prime location in Canyons Village, offering ski-in/ski-out access and proximity to amenities. Guests frequently praise the helpful and friendly staff, especially mentioning Molly Shaw at the front desk, and appreciate the spacious rooms and convenient amenities like the pool and hot tubs. However, some reviews highlight issues with dated rooms, inconsistent service, and occasional noise concerns, particularly on lower floors.

Stayed here during a work conference and had a great time. Loved the location and the set up we had during our event. I specially have to give a shout out to Bernice and her colleague from Aguascalientes who’s name I didn’t catch. They helped me find one of my favorite jackets when I lost it on the last day of the trip. Thanks ladies! And thanks for the recommendations on what to do in Aguascalientes the next time I’m in Mexico!

Darshan was the first face we saw and he was always happy to greet us during our stay there. We showed up at night without a reservation because the hotel we had originally booked was too dirty and Jacob made a quick check and inspection to ensure we had a clean room before checking us in. The beds and rooms looked clean, right down to the mattresses under the covers and every single towel we encountered. The rest of the staff were quick to accommodate any of our needs too. The hotel has a shuttle service to Main Street, which we did not try out. There weren’t any signs for self-parking at the hotel, so we didn’t realize we could park our own car until our last day or two. If we come back to Park City, we’ll have to ask where that is. The biggest con, which wasn’t a huge deal, was that because we were on the second floor, we could hear the noise from loud visitors/guests downstairs one night and the construction in the morning from the new gondola being built, which is beyond the control of the hotel staff of course. Otherwise, we had a good time at this hotel and loved that it was an easy drive to various places around Park City. We also appreciate how it’s very clean and the hotel staff were all great!

My family and I had a wonderful experience at the Grand Summit, and I especially want to recognize Molly Shaw at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely cared about helping us resolve an issue we were having. She took the time to walk us through everything, answered all of our questions, and made what could have been a stressful situation feel easy and seamless. It’s employees like Molly who truly make a difference. Her exceptional customer service is a big reason why we’ll continue coming back to the Grand Summit. Thank you, Molly, for going above and beyond! My family and I had a wonderful experience at the Grand Summit, and I especially want to recognize Molly Shaw at the front desk. This version is under the 1,500-character limit: This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. At check-in, the front desk employee was eating and seemed completely uninterested in helping guests. She told me to wait 15 minutes because the computer was updating. After waiting, I was told to wait another 15 minutes, even though I could see her using the computer. I called the company I booked through, and they confirmed my reservation was valid. When I asked what was preventing my check-in, she refused to answer. After waiting about 45 minutes with my young child, I explained how long we had been waiting. She replied, “That’s your problem. Why did you come late?” That was rude and completely unprofessional. When I became frustrated, she threatened not to check me in and said she could cancel my reservation. She eventually gave me the room key. The problems continued. The room phone didn’t work, so I had to walk back to the lobby to request a baby crib. I was told someone would bring one, but after waiting, an employee came only to tell me no cribs were available. The room was also extremely hot. Hotels are meant to help families relax and enjoy their vacation, not leave them stressed and uncomfortable. Instead of enjoying time with my family, I spent it dealing with unnecessary problems and poor customer service. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay.

Great Location, Spacious Rooms, but Some Gaps for the Price. I stayed at the Grand Summit Hotel in Canyons Village during Spring Break (March 2026), and overall would rate it a 4 stars—mainly because of the room experience compared to the price (~$900/night). The location is the biggest highlight. You are right in the heart of Canyons Village with true ski-in/ski-out access and lifts just steps away. It’s extremely convenient, especially during a busy Spring Break week, with restaurants, rentals, and shops all within walking distance. I stayed in a 2-bedroom unit (Room 628) and the space was excellent—very large and comfortable. A nice surprise was that the unit even had a private sauna, which was not mentioned in the reservation. That said, there were some important drawbacks—especially for the price point: The unit did not have a proper kitchen or dining seating area There was no microwave and no full fridge—only a coffee maker I had to request a mini fridge, and it was too small to store our groceries Some aspects of the room and property feel a bit dated On the positive side: The washer and dryer in the room were very convenient The hotel provides laundry detergent and fabric softener sheets, which is a nice touch Housekeeping is provided every other day, which was adequate for our stay Overall, this is a very solid hotel mainly because of its unbeatable location and spacious rooms, but at this price level, I expected better in-room functionality (especially kitchen amenities and storage). If those details were improved, it would easily be a 5-star.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Horrible old smelly hotel, hvac make strange sounds all nice and couldn’t hold a temperature. Zero staff, never had housekeeping coming in 4 days even when they said they would. Carpets are sticky and smell. Zero dining options most hours of the day except lunch. Room service is gross. So unbelievably overpriced. Hotel is falling apart. The location is great, people are nice, but it is NOT worth staying in a disgusting dungeon. Save yourself and your family from this terrible experience.

Location was great. And that's the only positive about this hotel. They gave us wrong smaller room, refused to acknowledge their mistake, finally refunded a small amount but that too on a wrong credit card. The hotel's system is so lacking in privacy and data protection that they somehow managed to add wrong credit card for our room, and checked us out before we were ready. And then proceeded to blame us for giving them wrong credit card for refund. All these glitches and human errors are bad but as a customer, I am willing to ignore these if I am treated with basic decency and respect. The staff and manager specifically were rude and completely refused to accept their fault and the way they talked to us means that they all are trained in pure capitalism and no hospitality. Since we had already paid for the rooms, they had no incentive left it seems. I would not be returning here as a customer.

Awful Hospitality Very bad hospitality. Gave us wrong room. When mentioned about it, the staff did not accept their mistake and was very rude to talk to. They also put the wrong card on file and once again when mentioned about it, the staff is unwilling to accept their mistakes. Talked to us in a very rude way.

Beds uncomfortable. Snow plows in the back start at 430 am. They plow the lot every 30 minutes . Dont expect to sleep late in that part of the hotel. Hotel restaurants very average. But room service meals are about same price and excellent. Kitchens fully stocked . Better off buying food and cooking in. Breakfast is about $40 for coffee 2 muffins and sandwich. Walk on slopes and close to skiing .

Our two bedroom residence was very roomy and easily slept 10 people. Service was great! We went during the holidays and it was beautifully decorated inside and out. The finishings are somewhat dated but was well kept and still felt like a rustic and high end lodge.
