Guests praise the breathtaking mountain location, exceptional rooftop spa, and history of friendly service, noting the facility is ideal for relaxing without skiing. However, recent reviews highlight a significant financial burden for owners due to escalating maintenance fees and the actual inability to use RCI exchanges for affordable travel outside the resort.

My family and I stayed at The Cliff Lodge in Snowbird, and while the location is stunning, I must issue a strong warning to any traveler considering purchasing an ownership interest, specifically with The Cliff Club. What began as an exciting investment has morphed into a significant financial burden and profound regret. I urge anyone approached about timeshare ownership here to proceed with extreme caution or, better yet, to avoid it entirely. We were pressured into purchasing the lowest entry-level ownership available. The key selling point, and the entire reason we bought in, was the purported flexibility and ability to use our membership outside of The Cliff Club through RCI exchanges. This promise has proven to be entirely false. The significant, prohibitively expensive fees associated with RCI exchanges have effectively negated the entire value proposition of our membership for travel outside of Snowbird. If your goal is flexible, affordable travel, this ownership will not provide it. The cost to exchange makes traveling outside the resort uneconomical, trapping owners into only visiting Snowbird, often during undesirable or inflexible seasons. What once felt like an exciting investment in memorable vacations has transformed into a profound financial strain and a sense of enduring obligation. We no longer enjoy trips to Snowbird; they now feel like wasted time and money rather than cherished experiences, leaving us with frustration over exorbitant fees instead of joyful memories. If you are considering buying into The Cliff Club, be aware that the External Exchange Benefit is a Myth. The fees render outside travel unviable. Maintenance Fees Will Escalate. Prepare for an unreasonably high, annual, mandatory payment ($1,800 and rising) for very limited use. Do not fall for the high-pressure sales tactics. Rent at the lodge if you want to ski, but do NOT buy a timeshare here. The financial obligation far outweighs the perceived benefit and will quickly become an unwelcome and stressful burden on your family's finances. Save your money and invest it in travel that brings you genuine joy and flexibility. This "investment" is nothing short of a significant disappointment and financial trap.

I absolutely love the Cliff Club at Snowbird. My wife and I have gone twice in the past 3 years and we will be going back regularly. The location is amazing, the staff is great, the restaurants are fantastic and the spa is unreal (the eucalyptus steam room, hot tub, pool and yoga/meditation classes- the rooftop spa alone makes the trip worthwhile). We were just there last month and I've been meaning to go on to leave a review to compliment the staff and resort: Nicole Cavallaro - yoga instructor - was fantastic, we did a stick yoga class with her that I would highly recommend. Chrissy Scavezze - yoga instructor - we had a class with both times we went in 2021 and 2023 - she's great. Paulie K - server at the Aerie - Paulie was the best server ever. We ended up getting to talking and closed the place down chatting until everyone had left and we realized the staff was all leaving as well. Paulie was the best and the man needs a raise! Thanks to everyone at Snowbird for making it another amazing trip!

A very expensive place , especially in the off-season when you’re not skiing. $40 room cleaning fee on top of the inflated price. But if you like burnt hamburgers and $12 beers this is your place. Also no Air conditioning. It Is an old hotel built in the 70s. However the staff was very nice.

We are having a marvelous time. We went swimming and in the eucalyptus sauna and explored around the area. We have beautiful views from our window and everyone is so helpful and friendly if we have a need. We love these mountains even though we don't ski any more. We have plenty of space and the bed is very nice. Thank you.

Absolutely one of our favorite places to stay in Snowbird. Fantastic rooftop Spa and gym. Ski in and ski out of condo and Resort. A couple restaurants located on site as well as easy access to Snowbird Resort Center which has everything you would need for a month stay. Amazing views from almost every hotel room!

38 years ago (this is 2017) my wife and I honeymooned at Snowbird. In those days, The Cliff Lodge offered only hotel rooms and the top floor was "5" (we stayed in a two-level unit at The Lodge at Snowbird). We find ourselves drawn back every year, even though now we only live 35 miles away. Our RCI membership allows us to book a one, two or three room suite at The Cliff Lodge, enjoy the Spa, the pools and still dine at The Mexican Keyhole. There is no place that compares for its ability to provide a relaxing atmosphere, comfort (even the sofa sleepers are comfortable!), amenities and some of the most beautiful geography on earth! For some reason yet to be explained to me, ski fanatics working their summer at Snowbird provide some of the best customer service I have enjoyed anywhere in the world. Whether you're looking for a wilderness escape, an easy walk in the woods or a toxin infused trip into an alternate dimension their staff seems to be able to read your mind and know exactly where to point you from the valet to the concierge (but if you want tailored, flawless attention, go to the concierge). We own a week at Whistler, and we love that resort too, but The Cliff is where we go to spend time with each other with no distractions. The stars from the summit are exquisite. The pool on the roof at night is divine. But the hot tub on your private balcony will remind you how much more you love each other after 38 years than you ever dreamed possible on your wedding night.
