The Iron Blosam is a popular destination, particularly for outdoor enthusiasts and families seeking access to skiing and hiking. While praised for its convenient location, beautiful views, and helpful staff, recent reviews highlight challenges related to timeshare issues and limited activities during certain times of the year. The property boasts a good range of amenities, but some units may show signs of wear.
Great rooms, great service, and perfect spot for someone who loves all outdoor recreation
Excellent place for families and lovers of the great outdoors. Skiing, hiking, swimming, there is something for everyone.
It's perfect, I go there every year for Halloween and every year it gets better. IF ANYONE SEES THIS, SOMEONE HID MINY PLASTIC TOYS AROUND THE INSIDE OF THIS HOTEL. GO FIND SOME!!!
We are very disappointed with our experience with Iron Blosam Lodge and strongly advise others to avoid memberships at this resort. When we reached out to discuss relinquishing our membership, we were met with shocking responses. The only options given were to sell or allow it to foreclose. We cannot find anyone interested in taking over this timeshare, and are unable to give it away. Instead of collaborating with us toward a fair resolution, the resort suggested foreclosure, an unnecessary and unfair solution. We have rarely been able to use the location itself, relying on complicated exchanges and trades, which have proven difficult, time-consuming, and frustrating. Over the years, it has become difficult for us to travel due to personal circumstances and the escalating financial burden of the annual fees, which have grown increasingly unsustainable, especially as retirees living on a fixed income. Given these challenges, we can no longer maintain this membership. We have asked the resort to offer solutions for relinquishment. Unfortunately, our attempts for communication and resolution with Snowbird have been fruitless, leaving us disregarded and feeling trapped in a situation that is no longer feasible. This has been a discouraging experience, and we urge others to explore other vacation options instead.
The honest review: Our family has had a timeshare the week before Fathers Day. The crummy part about this particular week is that everything opens full swing the day after our time share is over. With that being said, there is hardly anything to do up here for kids and adults besides the pool. No restaurants or food is available at Iron Blosam. There is maybe one or two restaurants open closer towards the Cliff and that is it. The only thing to do as a singular person going up is either go to the pool, gym or hike. Sadly the full size bed in our unit is lumpy and needs to be replaced too. The up side: -I went on a beautiful hike. -The water aerobics class was fun. -The staff was friendly. -My room was very clean and had all the cooking tools I needed. -They have rolling bins to transport your luggage to your room. -I was able to partake in amenities at the pool, hot tub and gym at both Iron Blosam and Cliff Spa. -The yoga classes are fun and well needed after hiking + beautiful views! -The weather was very nice! -Food and drink are delicious at the Cliff. Recommend: If any of the higher up personnel read this, I hope you consider more outdoor games. There is a perfect space in the little meadow right next to the tennis courts that can be used for games. I recommend cornhole, bocce ball, outdoor jenga, mini golf, fire pit, or disc golf. Turn the space into a night time movie theatre! Although there is an advent calendar, please consider putting more on it throughout the entire week. I only spent the last half of the timeshare week (due to my own availability) there was virtually nothing to do. Have special guests come up and do classes in bead making, wellness, essential oils, maybe a cool art/clay project, rock climbing, designing or painting mugs/plates/vases, more live bands. Maybe even throw out more farmers markets or food trucks, car shows up here? (The weather was so nice!) It would be great to see what the advent calendar looks like online ahead of time so when we are planning our time. I signed up for a hike Friday morning before Fathers Day. Max was the employee who led the hike. Definitely ask for him! He is so nice and knowledgeable about nature and the pathway of the hike. We went up to a little reservoir. He enjoys what he does and was very helpful on the trails. Highly recommend hiking with Max!
Stayed a week for some Spring skiing. Very convenient location to the slopes or via the free shuttle/ bus service. Alta is also accessible from the UTA bus. The Wildflower restaurant has a bar and sit-down service. Pool, spa, and fitness center are great.
We've used the Iron Blosam Inn at Snowbird for years. While rooms show years of wear, they are well maintained. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Parking can be an issue at times, especially when the lots need plowed out. Snowbird dining has multiple good choices without needing to get in your car. Access to Snowbird skiing is within walking, and a quick bus ride via UTA can get you to Alta ski area in minutes.
First time staying here and it's been great. Good facilities and couldn't be in a better spot. Easy access to snowbird and Alta. Great views from inside or the balcony. Super helpful staff and everyone's been friendly.
Great accommodations right on the mountain at the base of Snowbird Beautiful views of the ski runs. Outdoor heated swimming pool was in excellent shape. Indoor jacuzzi was perfect and the staff at the front desk especially Raven did an amazing job. For a 77 year old guest, Raven was patient and extremely helpful with the guest biz office for this old man, who never has quite gotten adapted to the computer age.
I have had a timeshare since the seventies I love experiencing warm weather, fall colors, and snow every year, as I don't experience all of that at home in Southern California. The pool and spa are amazing. The view is so beautiful from my balcony. I truly love this vacation spot and look forward to it every year. Both photos are from my two weeks this year.
