Home 2 Suites/Tru by Hilton receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its location, spacious rooms, and friendly staff. However, significant concerns regarding cleanliness, noise levels, check-in delays, and staff responsiveness have been raised, particularly regarding housekeeping and unresolved issues. Value is questionable given the reported problems and occasional service failures.
Hotel is in a nice location within walking distance of plenty of restaurants. Breakfast was good. Gym had a variety of functional equipment and weights with a great view of the city. Room was spacious and pet friendly. Two critiques. 1) There isn’t alot of grass in hotel area for dogs. You will have to walk your dog across the street or around the city for them to use the bathroom. 2) I had to wait over an hour after my designated check in time to receive my room. The hotel staff said it was because 100+ people’s checked out and the cleaners were working through their lunch to clean rooms. I do believe if hotels charge for late check outs they should provide some form of compensation if the room isn’t available at the check in time such as points, upgrades, etc. I did not recieve anything for the wait but overall the hotel was a nice stay.
I recently stayed for one night, and it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. The interior is absolutely beautiful, with a clean and modern feel throughout. The breakfast was outstanding—fresh, well-prepared, and with plenty of options to choose from. One of my favorite features was the blackout shades in the room. They made it perfectly dark, so I was able to sleep in without being woken up by the sun. It made a huge difference in how restful the stay felt. Overall, a fantastic experience—I would definitely stay here again.
Not a great experience. Room 232 was next to the loudest elevator. Ding ding ding all night long and non stop starting at 6 am. Could hear everyone and everything in the hall through the front door and through the bedroom window. The air conditioner in the room would loudly come on and off every 15 min. The hot tub and pool area was closed, which was a big reason I booked the hotel to begin with. Breakfast was okay. Gym was really nice. Bed was really comfortable. Overall, bad experience. Due to the noise, my wife and I felt like we were staying at a cheap hotel. But 215 dollars for the stay seemed way too much.
What a fantastic room. I found this place by accident on my way to Oregon and I’m so glad that I booked it. It’s in a small little quaint town plenty of restaurants right around the corner that have fantastic food. I was not expecting a room so large you could actually live here long-term. It’s pretty fantastic. No noise from anybody around me or above me which is great. The lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Has to be one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed so far thank you so much.!!
Great location and walking distance to several places. The complimentary breakfast is a nice touch. My room was great with a nice view of the mountains.
At check-in, was sent to a room that was already occupied. Found out they checked someone else in under my reservation, got a new room that only had 1 bed vs 2 I had requested so again had to go to front desk to get a 3rd room. Was not impressed or very happy about moving my luggage between 3 different rooms. Was not told how much I was being charged either.
We stayed at the Hilton Home2 Suites for one full week, and unfortunately, the experience was not satisfying. On three of the seven days, housekeeping did not clean our apartment at all. On the days they did, the cleaning quality was mediocre — for example, the cupboards and dining table were left dirty. We raised these issues multiple times during our stay, but nothing changed. Even after sending a complaint directly to the hotel manager, our email was ignored. As Hilton Diamond members, we expected a higher standard of service and accountability. Very disappointing overall — especially considering their slogan “If you’re not satisfied, the night’s on us.” Sadly, this promise was not honored. I cannot recommend this hotel.
I was sitting at the desk for 30 minutes waiting for someone to help me check in the lady that was cleaning up breakfast I kept asking where's the front desk associate. She said she'll grab her but she continues to clean the kitchen still. I asked her again. She still proceeds. I'll go get her and proceeds to clean the kitchen again. Then after waiting 10 minutes she finally comes out. I guess she was in the break room and the lady's name is Crystal. Kind of made me mad that I waited 30 minutes just to check in. That is ridiculous and somebody not to go get her and say they're going to go get her. That is not okay and Laura is the person that was doing the breakfast and even this morning I got there 8:00 and it was started at 7:00 was breakfast 8:00 there was nothing. No eggs, no sausage. The potatoes weren't even cooked. They were still hard. There was no bread. No bagels, no muffins and only 8:00. It's sad how you've only been doing it for an hour and you can't even get keep up with it. Need to better train your staff and how to respect customers and not make them wait so long at the front desk for check-in or check out
Really good location, you can walk 2 minutes and be at the 25th historical street where you will find many restaurants and pubs. The hotel is pet friendly. The parking is fine. Rooms are really nice, gym is ok, swimming pool is good, staff is cool.
Stayed at this property and it didn't disappoint. Digital check-in worked and room was clean. Hallways connect to 2 elevators shared by both hotels. Its inside town limits but plenty of parking available pretty safe. Didn't try breakfast.
