Wolf Creek Resort has a scenic location near mountains and a lake, offering opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking and golf. However, recent reviews highlight significant issues with the condition of the golf course, including damaged greens, lack of open holes, and ongoing construction. Guest experiences with the rooms have been mixed, with some praising their quality and others noting problems like lint buildup in appliances.

The back of the hairdryer inside the room was full of lint, which caused the dryer to overheat and literally burn off some of my hair. In addition to causing this traumatizing irreparable damage, this is a fire hazard and completely unacceptable.

Beatiful location near the mountains with a nice lake. Trails to ride or run on around thr lake. Golf course on the property along with a golf shop. Rooms were nice. Definitely a nice place to stay.

Absolutely terrible experience I’ve had all summer long. The course is completely trash with no heads up from the “pro shop” no discount on the rate due to holes being closed “due to irrigation” tractors running down the fairway, grounds keepers water the putting greens so you can’t use them. Groundskeepers in the middle of the fairway during gameplay. The complete chaos is hard to describe but they should close the course entirely until they get it all put together to where it’s enjoyable. If not, I hope every person who plays this course writes a review about their experience. 0 stars.

The room at the resort was great however the golf course is in terrible condition rendering it almost unplayable. The rate was not discounted which was disappointing considering not all holes were open and we were told it could be two years before the course is back to good conditions! We had a tee time the following day which fortunately the staff cancelled for us with no fees incurred. I will not be back to play even if this course gets becomes top 10 rated. I think the photos speak for themselves as to the conndition of the course and greens.

Just played a round of golf at Wolf Creek Resort, and while the course was super yellow and the pace of play was inconsistent, I'm still looking forward to the future. Paying full price for a course that doesn’t even have 18 holes open is a push. Most is dead grass and could never seem to get a good lie. The course needs some TLC, but I'm excited about the planned upgrades over the next few years. Hoping these improvements will bring the course up to its full potential. Fingers crossed for a much better experience next time.

I have only played the course a couple times and never stayed at the lodge, so I can’t comment on the amenities they provide, but the course is a very nice track and worth the trip! I have played a couple weeks ago and they are doing a bit of irrigation work so the course was a bit baked out, but because of the excellent layout it was still enjoyable and I will go again soon!

Had a great opportunity to play golf here. And what a beautiful time of year. We were able to snag a late slot and boy did me and my son enjoy it. After we finished up 9 holes he instantly said dad now I want some golf clubs. Maybe it wall last 1 week or a year or just maybe it might start something long term. Whatever it may be this will be a great memory forever. One with some pretty great views!
