The Hampton Inn & Suites - Ogden offers a historic downtown location with decent amenities and generally positive service. However, recent reviews highlight recurring issues with parking, room cleanliness, outdated facilities, and occasional operational problems like alarm malfunctions and staffing shortages. While some guests praise the friendly staff and convenient location, others have experienced significant inconveniences and disappointments.

Nice hotel in a vintage building. The hotel is located in an active part of downtown Ogden. The building looks old on the outside but is clean and modern on the inside. The room was clean and comfortable. Happy to have a full tub to relax in. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. They have a convenience store with some food and travel essentials which only takes card and paradoxically, a washing machine and dryer that only take coins. The complimentary breakfast was sufficient, your standard scrambled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, smattering of fruits, and some baked goods. Best part was the self service waffles. Parking is an additional charge and located in a garage a short walk from the hotel. It is not connected, so you must walk on the sidewalk to get back to your room. There are many options for eating and some entertainment within easy walking distance.

The hotel was perfectly located in Downtown Ogden. Parking was around the block. Rooms were clean and great for a place to sleep. No view Free breakfast in the morning was awesome. The dining area and staff were incredible. Awesome place for all the wedding guests to stay for the weekend events.

Went here for a business trip. The hotel is in a historic building. Positives: The hotel staff is very friendly and tries their best to be accommodating. But they are massively handcuffed by events and location. The rooms and beds didn't stink or have a weird smell to them. Cons: Happened to stay here during the cheerleading camp (staff calls it their hell month) and the staff is handcuffed into not being able to get these girls under control. Constant running, screaming and slamming of doors anywhere from 4pm thru 11pm. Numerous complaints made to front desk but usually only one person working desk and they can't be everywhere at once. Due to the large amount of cheerleaders here for camp, was not able to get breakfast during my whole stay. Trash in front of rooms because of the sheer amount of people. Even after complaints were made they staff just doesnt have the manpower to handle it. Room sizes are extremely small for a Hampton Inn, no microwaves in rooms and AC either was going out or the compressor was ot secured in the system. Tiles are starting to come off in the bathrooms and was bottles were either empty of falling off of the walls. While the lobby, meeting area and outside are lovely, the rooms leave alot to be desired. Parking is around the backside of the building and the Map that they give you to locate it, is wrong as the road that you need from the map is closed. You have to go down another road to try and get to it. If using a rental, get a smaller rental so that way it will fit in parking spaces otherwise it is a pain to get out of them when everyone is crammed in there. Not the worst Hilton Hotel I've stayed at (been doing this for 15 years) but not one I want to to stay at again.

Upon check in Sharon greeted us with the best service I’ve had in a very long time. She helped with a parking snafu, signed us up for the rewards program, and all around had the most positively contagious attitude. Give that lady a raise! The room is nice and if I’m back this way for a road trip I’ll stop here again. Book at this Hampton for fantastic service!

Currently staying in this hotel as we speak. Booked two rooms here close to the amphitheater to be able to walk The Black Keys concert. One person was able to check in and the second was told that they over sold the hotel and moved them to the Best Western 3 miles away. With the traffic it was a 40 minute round trip to get back to the hotel to walk to the concert. No call, no email no apology just a go somewhere else it’s not my fault its Hiltons Unacceptable! Do not ever stay here!

The hotel has an excellent location, close to restaurants and the historic center. There are some areas for improvement in room cleaning. Customer service is good, and the breakfast is average. The beds are comfortable, the views are excellent, and the hotel's theme is interesting; it clearly has a vintage feel. However, it's very noisy, especially the noise from passing motorcycles. Parking is not convenient; I'd say it's just average. It has its pros and cons, and depending on your needs, it might work.

Sharon at the front desk was absolutely incredible! While we were there, she handled a huge group check-in with so much patience, professionalism, and kindness. Even with how busy and hectic it was, she stayed calm, welcoming, and attentive to everyone. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure guests had a great experience. Keith was awesome as well! He was friendly, helpful, and added to the positive atmosphere of the hotel. Both Sharon and Keith provided exceptional customer service and made a lasting impression on us. They are both huge assets to the hotel!

Staying at the Hampton Inn in historic downtown Ogden was an absolute pleasure. This beautiful historic building is truly a must-see — full of character, charm, and perfectly situated in the heart of downtown. Even better, it’s conveniently connected to the convention center, which made everything seamless and stress-free. A special thank you to Sharon at the front desk — she was absolutely amazing. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful from the moment I arrived. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and that kind of service makes all the difference. Highly recommend this location whether you’re visiting for business, an event, or just exploring Ogden. I’ll definitely be back. The location is great because it’s a walking distance to restaurants etc. The room is kind of old and has a smell but this is a very old hotel so we kind of understand that. Breakfast is good and amazing servers. The lobby is very nice though .

Parking was non-existent. We made three laps around the building before parking in the “Hampton guest parking only,” so we could get checked in, only later to find out that we couldn’t park there. We made our way to the front of the building because that’s the only entrance and because while the app allowed us to checkin online, it did not issue a digital key. After about a ten minute wait behind other guests checking in, we got checked in and that’s when we were told we had to go move our car to an other guest parking area that required a special pass key. After another brisk walk to move our car, we came back to the front desk and we returned the parking pass they gave us because if we did return it before check out there would be a $50.00 fee. We got assigned a room at the front of the building on the 2nd floor and the street traffic at 10:15 p.m., while I’m writing this review, is deafeningly loud. Room was clean, front desk gal was friendly, but between the noise and parking I’d pass for another location that is more user friendly.
