The Alaskan Inn Bed & Breakfast consistently receives rave reviews for its romantic atmosphere, beautiful location within Ogden Canyon, and exceptional staff, particularly Brenda. Guests frequently highlight the cozy cabins, delicious breakfast service, and relaxing amenities like jacuzzi tubs and live music. While some minor maintenance issues have been noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.
This place is one of our favorites. We LOVE that every room has a two person tub. The breakfast they bring to your room is always so good. The newspaper under the plates is an awesome touch. The environment is AMAZING. Being in that canyon next to the river is such an easy and quick way to get away from everything. It’s worth every penny for the rest and peace this place brings!!!
This is an amazing place in beautiful Ogden Canyon! The food is delicious and there is live music. The best part of the Alaskan Inn is the manager. Brenda works so hard to make sure everyone has an awesome experience. She is outstanding and so much fun!!
This was a quick overnight for my wife and I to celebrate an anniversary. I have to say that this is a great place. We stayed in a cabin and every part of the night was great. We ordered some food from the local grill. It was delivered hot and fresh out of the oven. It tasted great and the price was good. The people there took great care of it! Breakfast was also amazing. I'd highly recommend this place. I know we'll be going back. Thanks to everyone there that made our night perfect.
My stay at the Alaskan Inn was honestly such a wonderful surprise. As someone who is a complete germaphobe, I was nervous that it might feel outdated or poorly maintained, but the moment I walked into our room in the main lodge, all of those worries disappeared. Everything felt remarkably clean, fresh, beautifully decorated, and very well cared for — it may have been recently updated. What truly made the experience exceptional though was Brenda, the hotel manager. She is absolutely beautiful inside and out, and you can genuinely feel the love and pride she has for the property. That kind of warmth and care is rare, and it completely changes the atmosphere of a place. She made the experience feel welcoming, peaceful, and special. The on-site restaurant was also excellent, especially breakfast. Between the delicious food, live music, cozy fire pits, and breathtaking mountainside views, the entire experience felt relaxing and memorable. Sitting outside by the fire listening to music with that scenery around us was the perfect ending to the evening. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic, relaxing, and beautifully maintained getaway.
I needed a rest after being on the road for a few days so I decided to stop in here, they have the cutest little cabins, and a wonderful Jacuzzi tub which was much needed at this point in my trip. They also have some great breakfast options delivered right to your door in the morning, and the chai latte is to die for!! It's definitely advertised as a romantic couples get away, and it certainly is that, but if you're like me and just want to treat yourself sometimes this is definitely a winning option!!
This resort is very nice, the breakfast was incredible, so was the grill. However, the staff is ABSOLUTELY amazing. We had a few hiccups in our reservation regarding our service animals. The staff handled EVERYTHING super well, and even came to fix our shower which was out of their scope of work. We will definitely be coming back for vacations in the future.
I had such a wonderful experience here! I am a solo traveler and I heard about the Alaskan Inn, and had to check it out. It’s definitely a rustic romantic spot for couples, but it’s great for solos, too! They took such great care of me. Brenda (manager) is so personable and I can tell that place runs because of the heart she puts into it. It wouldn’t be the same without her. Bethany also helped me and was such a joy, she seemed to always anticipate my needs. They had live music, a restaurant steps from my room, and room service. It was quiet, comfortable, and the location in the canyon was so nice! I’ll be back! This place is special! @TheOverdueBucketList
This hotel is advertised to be an experience and there is several packages offered to make it feel luxurious and romantic. I chose to get the rest and romance package, with an upgrade to have an additional therapist. We were told upon check-in that we call a number and give them a time in the morning for our breakfast and when our breakfast gets delivered in the morning, we would receive a paper for breakfast options the 2nd day as well as a paper saying if we wanted room service. In the morning we called the number given over 20 times and nobody answered. Eventually, we had to walk to the front desk to ask for breakfast, however nobody was available at the front desk. A lady who was doing laundry came up and discussed grabbing breakfast for us. We got breakfast but did not get a paper for the next days breakfast or a paper saying we wanted room service. Due to this our room was not serviced and we would have liked our bed to be made up and given clean towels. When we returned from our outing we did find a paper taped to our door for breakfast the next day, however nobody was at the front desk to take the paper from us. The massages we received were excellent and the best part of the whole stay. However, we got charged twice for the massages and had to spend a few hours of what should have been a relaxing romantic experience, trying to solve being charged twice. The man at the front desk in the evening was able to get this resolved. The shower in our room (Timberwolf) did not get hot at all, the bathtub needs to be caulked. The hotel advertises that it comes with bathrobes and complimentary water bottles however these were not provided in our hotel room. The man at the desk did offer us 2 waters at the desk after we brought it to his attention. Overall, I would not return because what should have been a romantic experience turned into a world of problems. The hotel needs to have someone at the front desk at least when they have guests there or offer a different number that actually answers when guests call. The pros to the hotel was clean rooms, the 2 people we actually spoke to were helpful, and the massages were excellent.
I can’t believe I haven’t stayed here before - even though I live nearby! We rented a cabin. Beautiful location! Right by the river. Quick drive up to Pineview. Staff was very helpful! Free delicious breakfast was included. They also have a fun restaurant with live music. I appreciate that I was able to bring my dog too. ???Brenda is soooo amazing and made us feel soooooo welcome! She even brought breakfast to our room in a snowstorm. ??There is a really fun game room in the lodge, which my family loved playing ping pong.?We were also able to check out board games and bring them back to our cabin to play at night. ?Will stay here again! Thank you Brenda!!! ??
It was me and my wifes 15th yr Anniversary yesterday and were looking for places to stay and enjoy somewhere in Utah. I've heard good things about the Alaskan Inn but have never stayed before. We loved everything about it from the cozy cabin, to the great food, pastries, and live music! But what made it extra special was the helpful and lovely staff! Thank you Brenda, Ashley, Andrew, the cooks, and housekeeping staff too! We will be back and will highly recommend the Alaskan to friends and family! Thanks again! Danielle & Tyson Holt
