The Hampton Inn by Hilton Salt Lake City Cottonwood generally receives positive feedback, particularly highlighting its friendly and accommodating staff, especially at the front desk. Guests appreciate the convenient location for accessing ski resorts and enjoy the included breakfast and hot tub. However, some reviews mention cleanliness issues, particularly with bathroom conditions and unexpected debris, and concerns about parking convenience.
Originally booked thru Hotes.com (3rd party), big mistake. Before leaving on 6-5, I pull up my confirmation and it shows checking in 6-7, should be 6-6,I call Hotels.com, they say they’ve changed it send me new confirmation. When checking in on the 6th, Hampton had NO reservation for me. New girl at the desk, waited for the General Manager Arturo. He was exceptional, explained that the hotel can’t look up reservations with 3rd party confirmations. I still had to verify payment but the remaining stay was great!! The rest of the staff was very friendly and wanted to make sure we had a great stay. Arturo went above and beyond, professional with a sense of humor, which helped take the stress down. Thanks again!!
Wonderful general manager who hears you out if you have an issue. He immediately solved our problem and made us feel very heard. The wonderful young man working the counter went above and beyond to immediately try to have someone come up to fix the issue as well. Very thankful for the staff and the quality of which this was handled.
We were here for a volleyball tournament with our team for the weekend. Our rooms were clean and quiet. The daily breakfast was perfect and Randy was so great! He made sure everything we had everything we needed and even gave friendly local hikes and excursion recommendations. I appreciated that. Brian was great checking us in and it was a smooth process. Thanks for a great weekend!
The hotel in general was great. The front desk people were incredibly caring, courteous, and accommodating. Especially Brian and Amber. The hotel was very clean. The bed was super comfortable and allowed a great sleep. Housekeeping did a great job. I never saw them, but my room was always perfect! The pool and hot tub area was very neat. Unfortunately the jets didn't really work. I so need jets when traveling. That was a disappointment. The bad parts were parking. (I had to walk pretty far for a 70 year old woman traveling alone. Scary at night.) Also the 2 pictures I posted. My chair had heinous spots and finish was missing from cupboards. These 2 things were not typical of this hotel, but they were in my room and made it kind of creepy feeling. Other than the last few items it was a great stay! The people made the difference. If they weren't so nice it would have been hard to overlook the negatives.
Perfect hotel for a ski trip. Close to the canyon, bus right there, breakfast and a hot tub/pool for after. Moana was exceptional and helped us get all checked in after a day on the mountain
I can’t speak highly enough about this hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean, I slept really great in my bed. The pool and hot tub are a great place to hang out after skiing. Finally, the breakfast really completes the experience. The food is warm and delicious, and a wide variety for young and old people alike. The location is prime for skiing, but also allows access to the beautiful Salt Lake City. There was a man lifting weights while shirtless around 8am on Saturday morning(Valentine’s Day), which gave me the heeby jeebies a little
Bryan at the front desk was amazing! He was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful from the moment I walked in. He made check-in easy and went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. Truly one of the most personable and accommodating front-desk staff I’ve ever met. Thank you, Bryan!??
We stayed here for 6 days while my husband had Dental Implants. The room was great, we had a suite right by the stairs. It was very quiet, the gym and hot tub were great. The breakfast was wonderful and so were the ladies working there each morning. The evening clerk working was named Brian was the best. He was so helpful and recommended so many things and we had bought popsicles for my husband’s surgery and he let us keep them in the freezer. He was just so accommodating knowing my husband just had surgery. We really liked him.
Depending on your room you may have a sweet view (we did). We showed up to breakfast 15 mins late and they were super nice and let us get a waffle anyway. Manager was super accommodating about it. Great service and great room.
This hotel is crisp and cheerful. From the minute you walk in the staff is wonderful…a shout out to Amanda and Brian at the reception desk for their upbeat and helpful manner. The rooms are very bright and spotless, even the halls are wide, bright and fresh feeling. The location is extremely convenient to several highways and main roads yet set back so the location is very quiet. The breakfast staff was terrific…always tidying up, making sure everything was in order and very friendly. Great staff here all around. If I could add a wishlist item here it would be for there to be a bit of a cozy living room area to hangout; currently there is only the dual purpose sitting area near the lobby which also serves as the breakfast area with just booths and tables..no cozy hang out area. Still, for the price and the overall experience here, this is a solid choice.
