Overall, Home2 Suites by Hilton SLC East receives mixed guest reviews, with some praising its convenient location, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. However, concerns regarding cleanliness, bed bugs, lack of housekeeping, and inconsistent service, particularly with parking and guest requests, are prevalent. Recent negative experiences highlight significant issues with room quality and property maintenance.
The pros: The hotel is in a fantastic location and I liked the hot breakfast. The cons: When I did my usual bed check I found a big wad of someone else’s hair on the bed under the top sheet. I went down to the front desk, explained the situation and asked if all of the bedding could be changed. She apologized and assured me that it would be done. Fast forward to when we returned and found the bed made…but whoever did it just put the duvet and top sheet right over the wad of hair (i.e. didn’t change the sheets). So I went down to the front desk to complain again and was moved to a room down the hallway. This room was clean and overall we liked it, but the downside is that for our 3 night stay we didn’t get housekeeping even once. I had to call down to the front desk to request toilet paper and new towels.
If I could give zero stars, I would! We didn’t even get a chance to stay there. Here’s the story: We are traveling across country moving my son west. We booked all our hotels in advance and called each one to make sure there is room to park a U-Haul pulling a car trailer. We were assured they could accommodate our vehicle for parking. After a ten hour drive, we arrived to no possible place to park the vehicle. The lot never could have accommodated us, even if it was empty, Mohammed, at the front desk was dismissive of us and told me we could fine a place on the street! If you’ve ever been to this area, that was impossible. The hotel outright lied to us and added extra stress after an already stressful drive! We asked, Mohamed to help find us a place to stay where we can park and he said he sprint do that! Horrible, horrible, horrible!!
This place is what hotels should strive to be! I flew in from Oregon for work. If you're like me, I don't like trying to sleep in a loud noisy hotel near the roads or interstates. When you're working 17-18hr days. Rest is paramount! This is not one, of those loud, uncomfortable places. You are backed up to the mountains. With gorgeous views all around. Super close to shopping, or many other amenities. Decent food close. Easy acces to any major roads, in five minutes. This by far has been, the most restful place I've stayed at in a long time. Last but not least. I wanna give a big shout out to the night shift person, Abby. She was exceptionally helpful, upmost professional, and had a GREAT attitude! I can choose to stay anywhere. But the little things, like the kind staff, great location, and a friendly smile, after a long hard day. Guaranteed made a customer for life!
Unfortunately, our stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City East was a terrible experience. We discovered bedbugs after the first night, and by the time we realized what was happening, they followed us for the rest of our trip. When we got home, we had to take extreme precautions washing everything, heat treating our belongings, and making sure we didn’t bring them into our home. It was stressful, time consuming, and completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun trip. This is not something any guest should have to deal with, especially at a Hilton property. Very disappointed.
This was a pleasant stay. Room was clean and comfortable. We had our dog and there is a nice area for walking to the left of the parking lot, loved the big fire pit outside. Breakfast had lots of hot options; typical hotel quality but better than just continental. We had egg patties, ham, sausage. Potatoes, egg cups like the vida sous eggs at Starbucks (and just as good), and then the continental selections. Good coffee. Reg and decaf. I felt the $75 per fee was stiff especially when your dog is well trained, but they ended up only charging $65 so I gave that other $10 to housekeeping. We will stay again!
I had a great stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton. The hotel was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The room was spacious and well designed, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, which really made a difference. Breakfast was fresh and had a nice variety, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and reliable place to stay.
Stayed here for a week. It is a great place! They have all modern amenities including dishes, dishwasher, utensils, comfortable bed. They also have complimentary breakfast and fast internet. I had to work after check out hours and they let me use their office space as well. Would definitely stay here again!
Good location on the eastern edge of town, actually really impressed with the breakfast spread. Rooms are good size for price and my bed was comfy. Hotel gym gets a thumbs up. Dumbbells to 50, full cable system, a few cardio machines- can definitely work with that. Room was ready early, can walk across to Walmart if i need anything. It’ll be in my rotation each time I travel to SLC for work.
My mother and I checked into Room 234 (a 1 bedroom suite) on December 31st (for a 6 night stay) since we decided to celebrate our New Year's Eve in Salt Lake City and ski at Park City Mountain Resort for 6 days. Our room was cleaned very well by the top-notch housekeeping team. The daily complimentary breakfast buffet was outstanding with a huge variety of breakfast offerings. The oatmeal was by far the BEST oatmeal I have ever had in the USA. The fitness center is very well maintained with state-of-the-art cardio equipment + weights. In addition to the excellent amenities offered at this hotel, I would like share the names of multiple hotel employees who demonstrated a first-rate level of customer service. Emma (front desk employee), Abby (front desk employee), Mohammad (front desk employee), Maria (housekeeping attendant), Eve (front desk employee) and Erica (housekeeping supervisor) were all outstanding and they truly provided a top-notch level of customer service during our entire stay. We look forward to returning back to this superb hotel in the near future due to the very clean rooms, excellent amenities and outstanding customer service. We have highly recommended this hotel to all our friends, family members and co-workers. As a Silver Hilton Honors member who has stayed at multiple Hilton branded hotels across the USA, I am grateful for the opportunity to have stayed at this wonderful hotel.
Horrible experience. Room234 was a king bedroom suite and it was so loud outside all night long we didn’t sleep for two nights. When we complained to the front desk person he said no one ever complained before. I asked him to have someone sleep in the room one night and he laughed it off. I told him I wanted compensation for two nights of no sleep and again he laughed at me. The free breakfast was a joke compared to all the other Hiltons I hVe stayed at. The same little egg patties every morning was ridiculous. So sad. .
