The Crystal Inn Hotel & Suites Salt Lake City - Downtown receives generally positive reviews, highlighting cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient amenities like a free shuttle. However, concerns regarding noise levels, pricing issues, and outdated styling have been raised. Overall, it's a solid, affordable option in a central location.
Very clean hotel in Salt Lake City. A bit dated with styling from the 80s or 90s. My room was very clean and spacious. Walls are a bit thin and you could here every step and stomp of your neighbor's above you. Plus the hallway and rooms close by. Location was about three blocks from the convention center. Be cautious as the McDonald's next door is a homeless hangout. Not much next to the hotel for culture or relevant experiences. Cheaper than some of the other hotels in the area but still expensive for what I got. Free breakfast but it was exceptionally average.
I had an exceptional stay at this hotel, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The property is very clean, quiet, and peaceful. The staff working on the night of May 25th were beyond amazing, providing top-notch and truly impressive service. The room itself was incredibly spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with great amenities like a refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, and TV, making it worth way more than the price. Another major highlight was their outstanding complimentary breakfast buffet—there was plenty of seating, and the staff did an excellent job constantly cleaning the tables and refilling the hot food items. With their highly convenient 24/7 shuttle service, this hotel is much better than you would ever expect, and I highly recommend it!
My husband and I stayed here on two occasions. Once two years ago and once this memorial day weekend. Last time was a good experience, and this time- not so much. My issue was with the very clear price gouging from the front desk. This location tried to charge me $400 for a one night stay on a $200 hotel room. I have two very quiet, clean, well behaved dogs and when I informed them I had them before checking in the front desk said, "oh, you have dogs? That'll be, uh, $100- per pet. Per night." I argued that I'm not paying that, and they bartenered with me to only be $100 for one night. So apparently they just make up charges? And when we actually got to our room it smelled intensely like axe body spray. And the people above us were noisy rolling around their luggage at all hours of the night. Based upon the staff interaction, the room, and how noisy it was all night I wouldn't come back here or reccomend this location to anyone with pets.
Great place to stay. Large clean rooms. Offered a shuttle to the airport which was a convenient service we used. I left a hearing aid charger in the room by mistake, staff found it and immediately mailed it too me. Friendly staff. Highly recommend staying at this establishment.
I was in town for a conference and booked this hotel due to the affordable compared to hotels around the convention center. The room was spacious. The staff was extremely NICE and HELPFUL, especially, when I experienced issues with expedia. The breakfast was decent. Being from the south, I was surprised to see grits on the morning buffet. The only drawback was the walking distance from the hotel to the convention center. It took me about 15 to 20 minutes, but I still would have booked at this hotel. I recommend this to anyone looking for a nice affordable stay.
The staff, especially Emerson and Makayla, were friendly, professional and their shuttle service made getting to appointments and the airport go smoothly. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean. The breakfasts are wonderful. I highly recommend you stay here because of the great service and location.
One of my favorite stays I’ve had at a hotel in a while. The staff were immaculate. So kind and accommodating. It was clean and I felt very comfortable. I would recommend and will come again.
My daughter, granddaughter, and I stayed here while on a first trip to UT to pick up my grandson who was being discharged from Primary Children's Hospital. It was a stressful time and being a guest at this hotel really allowed my family to rest, relax, and rejuvenate after a long drive from Las Vegas. Room was clean, staff were friendly, beds were VERY comfortable, and it was conveniently located near the hospital. The breakfast was outstanding! I will definitely stay again!
Affordable place walking distance to downtown. Hotel is a little dated but rooms were clean and quite spacious. We really enjoyed the complementary breakfast- great selection of delicious foods that seemed made in house- if not, prepared very well. Friendly and excellent service!
This hotel is generally pretty fantastic. In fact it is often my first choice when traveling to SLC. The location is perfect. However, I’m over hotels letting third parties trick customers into thinking they are booking directly on their website. I have never had a good experience with third party booking companies. I’d give five starts if they promoted their own website, but I was tricked into booking through a third party without realizing it. So no receipt was received. Typical of third party booking companies. I’m not staying here again, unfortunately. The deal I get is not worth the hassles and nightmares that come with booking third party. I prefer direct booking without trying to sort through fake websites.
