The Best Western Plus Cotton Tree Inn receives generally positive reviews, particularly praising its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, recent feedback highlights concerns regarding inconsistent service, dated facilities, and issues with room quality and cleanliness, particularly in certain rooms. The hotel’s breakfast offerings have also been a point of criticism.
This hotel was very nice! I slept so well and my kids really enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was great and service was top notch. Best part is it was very, very clean!
Really clean and courteous. Normally I have 3-4 girls with me at a time cause my daughter does cheer, so of course im constantly out of towels and they were more than happy to keep us full at no charge. Pool was clean! Did say balcony but more of extra deep window lol. Will stay again.
One of the biggest positives about this hotel is the location. Whether it is to the mall where they have the Titanic Exhibition, IKEA or Loveland Aquirium. They are all super close. You can also get on the freeway quickly and there are lots of restaurants around. It is also quiet. Their prices have been really good the last 2 weekends I have visited. I was disappointed when I got a balcony room that was overlooking the hotel next to us. I had wanted to enjoy coffee while looking at the mountains. If you get a balcony room request that your room faces East. The front staff was great. They even had spare paper plates and silverware when I asked. The breakfast is not good at all. Eggs are tasteless and the extra things are super limited. I had actually considered staying somewhere else near this hotel that had better breakfasts. That is it's biggest downfall. All in all, it is a great place to stay.
Arrived at the Cotton Tree at midnight with my 2 preteen children to check into my room that I had reserved and paid online only to be treated like a trespasser. The night clerk was rude and short with us. I was very disappointed but tired so we just went to our room and try to forget about it. However, we opened the door to our room, we found the floor was dirty, a used towel hanging in the bathroom and the mirrors had not been cleaned. I probably should have left and got a refund, but due to the late hour and rude front desk situation, we stayed. Breakfast the next morning was ok. I know it's just a continental breakfast but the breads were stale and the pancake machine ran out do batter which no one would attend to. Overall, not a great experience and I won't be back. I guess my advice would be to check in very early so you don't upset the night employee and bring cleaning supplies.
Rooms were nice, pool was fun, staff were friendly, and the location was great. The coffee in the room wasn’t great but the coffee and breakfast downstairs was good. I would stay there again.
Made a reservation at this motel about 10 days ago, and just got an email from the general manager ( Eric D Gumbrecht), saying that he had cancelled our reservation and that we were no longer welcome there. The last time we had stayed there there was about a month and a half ago. Don't remember if it was 2 or 3 days. After calling this guy to ask what the deal was, he told me that we were drunk and giving the staff a hard time. We had almost no interactions with the staff. We were in Bountiful to be by my dying mother's bed side until she passed. I don't know what this guy has been smoking, but nothing happened with the staff and us. Not sure if he realized that we were a gay couple and he is homophobic or what. I am a service connected disabled veteran and feel like I have earned the right to at least enough respect for him to tell the truth about why we are no longer welcome there. He had 10 days to cancel our reservation, but waited until the day before to cancel, leaving us scrambling to find another motel, and paying last minute prices. I will never stay there again. I have given them my business for several years due to the fact that it is close to the nursing home where my mom was and my sister still is. We are happy to find other accommodations from now on. I have stayed with best Western for several years and have platinum member status. It's funny that none of the other motels has had anything bad to say about us. This one didn't either until this evening. The day before our trip. Whatever this guy's real issues with us are, I don't expect to get a truthful answer out of him. He also said in his email that he tried to call, which is a total lie. My phone has been on all day with no calls from them. Missed or otherwise. I would bet that we aren't the only couple that he has had a problem with.
Needed a place to stay for a few nights, as my motorcycle broke down passing thru town. Hotel was super nice, for the price I paid. Rooms were nice, pool was awesome, and the outdoor patio area. Breakfast was delicious. Located close to a lot of restaurants within a short drive or walk, in a nice part of town. Really have no complaints.
Stayed two nights. Very comfortable room with a clean bathroom and plenty of linens (towels). FANTASTIC breakfast that changes day to day. Plus, there's places to eat within walking distance. Staff was very friendly & helpful.
Loved staying here! We were greeted with free coffee and fresh baked cookies. Beds were comfortable and clean. We felt safe and taken care of. Would definitely stay here again!
Absolutely not returning. I read the reviews before booking here and thought it would’ve been just fine. I’m not sure how this place received so many positive reviews. I booked a room 3-months in advance, received a confirmation, and for some reason they didn’t have it when we arrived. After a ton of hassle at 11pm, with crabby kids in the car, they ended up getting us into a room. Not a great impression to begin with but then there was some random guy hanging out in the lobby who looked like he lived there with his cart full of belongings. We were all so tired that we decided to stay the night anyway. The cleanliness of the room was disgusting. The carpet smelled, the window sills were filthy, and we only had a 1/2 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. The amenities are seriously lacking for what we paid. No microwaves, the furniture in the rooms are falling apart (I was afraid to even set anything on the table because I thought the whole thing might fall over)..the chair was actually peeling and the ironing board was a joke. The furniture is very obviously low quality. Breakfast was subpar, at best. Their pancake machine was down so we had, literally, bland french toast sticks, eggs, and sausage nearly every day. The juice machine was flooding and spilling all over the floor, the little fridge with yogurts was locked one day so we couldn’t even get to the yogurt or cold dairy items. The little toaster they have is pretty much worthless given the amount of people there all trying to get breakfast. It shouldn’t take my family nearly 20 minutes to even get all of their food. Front desk staff appeared to hate the fact that they were even there. I never received a welcome walking into the hotel despite there being a different staff member every single day. They seem bothered we were there..even housekeeping. It was a very unwelcoming feeling. If you’re looking for a low-quality hotel but still charges the same as the other, higher quality, hotels in the area, then this is for you! Such a terrible experience.
