Evo Hotel offers a unique, vibrant stay for adventure travelers with its on-site bouldering gym, skate park, and bar, but guests should be prepared for extremely compact rooms, thin walls, and potential noise issues depending on the specific unit type and proximity to attractions.

The stay was great! Nothing too crazy to complain about. The room was nice and clean and the complimentary liquid death water was a plus (my favorite water brand). The balcony was awesome we sat outside our first night to watch the snow fall. The shower was enormous and the bed was soft. Our room was next to the bar which I visited a few times on our stay. Now the patrons were a little noisy at night but thats just what happens when your room is next to the bar so it didn't really bother me. The TV must've required another remote because the internet log in page would pop up every 15 minutes or so but no big deal we dont watch much TV anyway. And it was hard to find a parking place between 10 am and about 7 pm so we just parked our car and Ubered everywhere. We will definitely stay here again our next trip to salt lake

Stayed here on my own after spending the weekend in Brighton. The hotel is very very cool. The stores are neat, all the activities. The con of this, you can hear EVERYTHING in those rooms. The gate slamming up from the rock walls, peoples equipment hit the metal fence every time they walked by. Rooms were weird small. You could also hear ? “noises” from others rooms not just next door, but through the door if you walked by. Recommend the bar, and checking out the store. Do no recommending sleeping there.

It is an innovative idea with a bouldering gym which also has a very nice fitness area with everything you need. However, we were shocked by how little space the rooms have - it was not obvious from the pictures - we had to store our stuff in the bathrooms; if felt like staying in a camper van. And the walls were thin, though we didn't hear any noise from the gym itself, just a yippy dog. We were lucky to have a sound machine. It is not kid friendly. We were not allowed on the rooftop with our child. No mini fridge and a shared microwave. Didn't realize how claustrophobic it would feel not to have a window; child woke up screaming that he couldn't see, as there was zero light. A little sleepy today. Sleep was just ok. The bouldering was fun and a cool concept, just maybe too minimalistic for a vegan family that needs to carry food along.

If you are looking for a cool place to crash after a long ski day this is it. Great bar with cheap and good drinks, an excellent cafe downstairs (with free drip coffee for guests), and everything you could need in the shop downstairs. The team at all of these places was helpful and really nice! You can also take advantage of discounted rock climbing and yoga in the building too. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again in the future. Things to note: - The ski bus is a few blocks away. Renting a car might be easier if you do plan on skiing. There are lots of park and ride lots too near the base of the mountains. - Depending on your room it might be a little louder. Ours was directly next to the bar. That being said, they provide ear plugs and a sound machine if needed and the bar shut down around 10/11 each night so not super late. - Rooms are definitely compact but get the job done. The space is used very efficiently and the balconies are a nice touch.

This was an extremely disappointing stay. The building had a strange odor, the rooms have no windows, and the floors are bare concrete. We even saw roaches during our visit. As someone originally from Salt Lake, I can confidently say the neighborhood is very unsafe. If you leave your car for any length of time, a break-in feels almost inevitable. Noise was constant throughout the night, making it difficult to get any rest. The rooms themselves are incredibly small and would be uncomfortable for anyone with even mild claustrophobia. The refund process was also frustrating and misleading. Staff told us we could get a refund once we contact our booking agency, but when the agency reached out to the hotel, the hotel refused to approve it. It’s clear this property was once a warehouse, and while it’s marketed as a fun, recreational-style hotel, that presentation feels like a cover for very poor accommodations. Honestly, you’d be better off staying at a Motel 6.

I originally was booked in at one of the more traditional SLC airport hotels for my 2 night stay in Salt Lake City, but switched to this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend. I couldn't have been more stoked with the recommendation to switch as the evo Hotel literally checked every box for me. Firstly, location wise it's only a 10 minute Uber ride from the airport. Since it's away from the airport it offers way more dining options and coffee shops than what you'd find at a traditional airport hotel. Walking into the hotel itself was a refreshing surprise as it feels authentic and not at all corporate like I'm used to with my usual Bonvoy branded hotels. The lobby is fresh with an extremely inviting vibe and has a great coffee shop as well. I grabbed a couple coffee's and smoothies from here and everything was dialed. On the way up to the room there are tons of shared common areas and corn hole boards out making for a super inviting social environment. The room itself was smaller compared to a traditional room, but had more than enough space for my needs. Plus ample gear storage and space to hang dirty/sweaty gear. A huge bonus for me was the massive fitness center and climbing gym it's connected to. While you had to pay for access to the gym, it was a discounted rate and absolutely worth it for the massive space and ample equipment. Finally, they also have a wicked bar on site with ample drink selection and an incredible outdoor patio. Beers on offer were on point and views from the patio were the perfect way to end my days. the evo Hotel is absolutely my new go to for any SLC visit and I've recommended the space to everyone planning on visiting.

Loved our stay at Evo Hotel! The whole place has such a cool, modern vibe — definitely not your average hotel. The rooftop bar is awesome for drinks and views, and the rooms are super clean and comfy with a patio. I also loved that guests get free or discounted access to the skatepark, climbing wall, and gear rentals — such a fun perk! If you’re into adventure, fitness, or just want a stylish spot to stay in SLC, Evo is the place.

The stay was acceptable at best, but I strongly disagree with the fact that the hotel charged my credit card twice — including two separate deposits — and has been completely unreachable since. Our stay was in mid-April, and despite multiple attempts to contact them, I had to initiate a credit card chargeback just to get the double charge of $390 refunded. As of now, I still haven’t received the original $100 deposit back. This level of customer service is unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

What an amazing hotel that is! There is a climbing gym inside the hotel! How cool is that? We were there for the IFSC World Cup and we were passing by so many athletes and coaches there too. This hotel is not for everyone but our family of four enjoyed the stay more than any other fancy hotel we ever stayed at! Love!

I reserved 2 room with king size bed. When I checked in, they only have a king size bed and queen size bed left. We toke that option because we have no choice. We stay there for two days. The rock climbing room is in front of my room, and they made noises 24 hours in the first day. My wife and I can’t sleep well with that noise. The second night was even worse. There was rumble from the rooftop for whole night. That was the unstoppable night. It might be cause by the water pipe or the air conditioning pipe, and I don’t event know. I was trying to call the front desk, but the room phone was disconnected. Then I tried to go to the lobby, but there was nobody there to help. I understand that all employees have to take a rest during late night.
